I took this photo at dusk part way up Mount Kilimanjaro. It was particularly peaceful that evening and this stock trading tip occurred to me. When there are no distractions, when stress is low and when the noise from all other distractions and obligations in life are low – this is when we are most guided, most clear on our purpose and what we REALLY need to do.
It is in this space that we should be making our big trading decisions. Decisions like changing our stock trading systems, adjusting our risk management and position sizing approach, shifting our portfolio or adding new trading systems to our portfolio.
These decisions can’t be made effectively with all the distractions and noise of the markets bearing down on us. This is why as a trader all your important decisions should be made after market hours!
