So I’m visiting Montezuma Well, which is in the Sedona sort of region of Arizona. And we’re just going for a walk in the National Park, and we just took a little left hand turn off the main pathway, and there’s this amazing little kind of nook down a little valley down here with a creek running through it. And it’s peaceful and it’s cool and it’s amazing.

And yeah, it just struck me, it’s like you could so easily just walk past that little turnoff and you’d miss it, you know? And I think sometimes in life and in trading and in everything, you got to be on the lookout for those little turns that lead you to something magic, something amazing.

Sometimes you can be doing the mainstream thing, what everyone else is doing, and it just looks bland and dull, like up above us, it’s all dry and hot and sunny. And if you were not being attentive and present, you’d just rush straight past and get out of here because it’s actually not that attractive. But that little left hand turn has led us down somewhere amazing.

And I think if you’re thinking about the markets and trading and systems, a lot of people are doing the same things in the markets, but sometimes all it takes is just a tiny little tweak, just a little tweak, to turn it into an amazing set of rules that’s really, really profitable.

So don’t just follow the beaten path. Also have a look, a little look to the left and the right. Try and find some related strategies that could do magic in your trading account.
